Another fascinating day at the Foundation for Peace

I am working on a project for the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace in Warrington.

My role is to develop the social enterprise, Resolution Training, and take the Foundation’s training to a wider market. I am talking to headteachers, housing associations, youth workers, security professionals and emergency responders.

Yesterday I was showing a company round the Peace Centre and they were very impressed with the building, but more importantly with the work that the Foundation does to resolve conflict through non-violence.

In the evening we hosted an event for the Rank Foundation who sponsor young people with leadership potential. There were interesting stories from past and present Rank Fellows and one of the Fellows, Gemma, who works at the Foundation for Peace explained about the work she had done. The visitors took a tour of the Peace Centre. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a longer term relationship.
